If the knob has a recessed setscrew turn the setscrew counterclockwise with a correctly sized. Once triggered the lever or lock trim can be removed from the door. Apply a bit of pressure to the paper clip to trigger a release button inside the hardware. The door handle will now slide off. Slide the cosmetic faceplate away from the door.

Push this latch in and pull the handle off the door.
